Amish Friendship Bread

Day 1
You have just received fermented batter in a one-gallon
Ziploc bag. Do nothing! Just place the bag on your kitchen counter. Do
Not Refrigerate.

Squeeze the bag several times.

Day 6
Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk in to bag, and
squish to mix.

Squeeze the bag several times.

Day 10
In a large plastic bowl combine the batter with 1 cup of flour,
1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of milk. Mix with wooden or plastic
spoon. Pour three (3) one-cup starters into one-gallon ziplock
bags. 1 cup starter in each bag.
Give these starters away to others with a copy of these instructions.
If you ever just want to make a starter batch, simply
add the following in to a one-gallon Ziploc bag:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
Squish to mix, and consider yourself at the Day One step
above. Then you will be adding another cup each of the ingredients
on day 6. Then on day 10, upon adding another cup each of the
ingredients, you should have three 1 cup starters, and then your 1 cup
starter as well. I am still experimenting with the numbers... so if
you figure out how to actually make a starter.. let me know...
